The Consult

Diamond ring detail for a custom consult

The beginning of something personal.

You don’t need to have it all figured out—that’s what we’re here for. We’ll talk through your ideas, inspiration, and budget, then help you understand what’s actually worth it—and what’s not.

Once we’ve defined the direction, we’ll outline what your piece will look like—including an idea of pricing—so you know exactly what to expect.

Together, we’ll have a clear picture of exactly what you want before moving forward—no pressure, just clarity. If you decide to move forward, a small design deposit of $100 secures your piece and allows us to begin sourcing and refining your design. This fee goes towards your custom order, and is non-refundable.

Not every diamond deserves
a place in your jewelry.

The stones
we say no to

A certificate only tells part of the story.
We look beyond the specs to evaluate brilliance, proportions, faceting, and overall beauty.

Diamond proportions comparison

Poor
proportions

Some diamonds carry impressive grades yet appear smaller, darker, or less brilliant than they should.

We look beyond the certificate to find diamonds that maximize beauty, light performance, and presence.
Diamond cut to retain carat weight

Carat
traps

Some diamonds are cut to retain weight rather than maximize beauty, making them appear smaller than they should.

Bigger on paper doesn’t always mean bigger in person.
Diamond with weak light performance

Weak lightperformance

Some diamonds look impressive on paper but fail to return light effectively, resulting in less sparkle and life.

Brilliance isn’t measured by a certificate alone.
Certified diamond evaluation paperwork

Certified doesn’tmean beautiful

A grading report is only the beginning. We evaluate every diamond for beauty, balance, and real-world appearance—not just what’s written on paper.

Beautiful, not just certified

What we look for instead

The Givara Standard

Because the most important details
aren’t always listed on a certificate.

  • Exceptional
    brilliance
  • Beautiful
    proportions
  • Strong light performance
  • Diamonds we’d wear ourselves

Beautiful on paper.
Extraordinary in person.

Everything you need to know

Questions,
answered clearly.

Are your diamonds certified?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated, all center stones that are 1 carat and above come with an independent IGI grading certificate. This certificate confirms whether the diamond is lab-grown or natural and provides detailed information on its cut, color, clarity, and proportions.

While we primarily work with lab-grown diamonds, we are also able to source natural diamonds upon request. Smaller diamonds—such as those used in wedding bands, accent settings, or hidden halos—are considered melee stones and are not individually certified. This is standard practice across the jewelry industry.

What is the customization process?

Our process is designed to be clear, collaborative, and completely tailored to you. We start with a one-on-one consult to understand your vision, preferences, and budget. From there, we source stone options and create a custom design for your piece. You’ll review and approve every detail before moving forward.

Once approved, your piece enters production, where it’s carefully crafted and brought to life. When it’s complete, it’s inspected and delivered to you, ready to wear.

Do you only make rings?

No. While we specialize in custom rings, we also create a wide range of custom jewelry, including earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and more. If you have something in mind, we’re happy to bring your vision to life.

How long will my piece take?

Production timelines vary depending on the complexity of the design, but most custom pieces are completed within 5-7 weeks. We prioritize precision and craftsmanship over rushing the process, ensuring every detail is executed exactly as intended. You’ll receive updates along the way so you always know what stage your piece is in.

If you’re working within a specific timeline, priority production may be available. We’re happy to discuss options during your consult.

Why are your prices different from traditional jewelry stores?

We believe luxury should feel attainable. By working directly with trusted suppliers and maintaining a streamlined process, we’re able to offer exceptional quality without traditional retail markups.

Let’s make this simple.

You don’t need to know everything about diamonds.
That’s our job.

Whether you’re starting with a sketch, a screenshot, or simply an idea, we’ll guide you through every step and help bring your vision to life.
